My undying love for travel started when I received a full set of an old Childcraft Encyclopedia as a luxurious gift from my penniless mother back when I was clueless of what was outside the Philippines at a very young age of 8. Every single day I was reading the part about "Wonders of the World" to the extent that I have memorized all the lines written on every page. This really sparked my interest in different cultures and the desire to explore the world.

But there is one main problem...We were very poor. And I knew that my parents won't be able to support my financial needs to start my adventure. Then, my 8-year old self made a huge plan! I will finish my school, get a job, save money, and explore the world. Well, that sounds pretty normal, huh? 

​

Now that I am capable to support myself, I started my journey in Japan. I thought living here would make travelling easier as I can earn a little more. But working in a Japanese firm was also a hindrance...filling a leave is too tough. Especially when your reason is to travel. For almost seven years, the only country I had been to was Thailand. 

​

I changed my career as I also wanted to work with kids. I became a full-time school teacher. Not knowing that I would have a huge vacations every semester. Woah! Light bulb on my head popped out! This is what I am waiting for! I started planning for my journeys. First stop was the Big Apple, New York!

 

Travelling over 4 continents at least 3 times a year became my sweetest passion. And I know how stressful it is to find cheap flights as I am doing it from scratch.  After six years of applying visa here and there plus numerous familiarization trips to many countries, it was time to embark on a new journey to fulfill my dream.  AYA Travelcations was born!
